Note:
This template uses tables rather than the
"top and left shared borders",
which gives you more control over your
navigation structure.
Note:
Personalizing your site... The upper left graphic has been left blank so that
you can add your own text. We have insert just an example graphic.
It can be used to insert
your company name, personal name, the name
of your web site and any catchy text that
you want to appear on each page of your
site. You can use the built-in text tool in
FrontPage or, for a more professional look,
use am image editor such as PhotoShop. If
you have a logo graphic that you want to
use, this can also be added. If you would
like us to add the text for you please
e-mail us at Theme Store. This is a free
service that we provide our customers. But
please, only text, not logos. The font
used in the example on our web site can be
found in the Font folder to the
left.
How to delete a
page from this web:
Open your web and press the Navigation
button in the toolbar to the left. You will
now be looking at this web's navigation
structure in the top panel and the folders
and files in the bottom panel. Right-click
on the page that you want to remove and
select Delete. Then select the option to
"Remove Page From Front Page Web."
How to add a
page or change page name:
We have provided
a "NewPage" for you if you don't
want to use the Page Template. Just save
this page with a new name as many times as
you need a new page. Make sure that you
drag new pages into the navigation
structure.
The names of
pages can be changed in Navigation View.
Just right-click on the page and remane
it.
There are already12 pages within
this web. In the navigation view,
right-click on the page and select
"Rename". Type in the name you
prefer, remembering to keep it short! You
can then switch to the "Folders"
view to change the "htm" name to
match.
To add a new page, open a page, then
press File > New. This brings up a page
with a list of templates. Select the page
template that corresponds to the theme. The
banner and buttons will not have the right
text on them, instead it just says [Banner]
and [Button]. This is because the new page
has not been added to the navigation
structure yet.
Save the new page and type in the URL
and give the page a title. (You can select a
temporary title like newpage.htm and then
change it later.) Now drag your newpage.htm
from the "folders list" into the
navigation structure (Navigation View).
That's all there is to it.
If you add a level of pages below the
current ones, you will probably have to
modify the navigation bars at the left. Just
right-click on them to highlight the
structure and then you can modify the
properties. Depending upon your needs, you
can set the bars at various levels
throughout the web site.
Warning for
FrontPage 2000 users!
Please do not try to edit this
template! Removing and then reinserting any
of the FrontPage Components may result in
spaces around the graphics which can't be
removed except by altering the html code.
These spaces will not be visible in the
program, but may show in the Browser! This
is a documented FP2000 bug.
Copy/Paste Method for Creating New Pages: The program doesn't always
apply the page template correctly. If this
happens, please use the method below:
Open any page in HTML view and copy
the text. In Editor, create a new page using
the "Normal Template". This will
give you a blank page. In the HTML view of
the blank page, paste the text that you have
copied. Make sure you rename the
<title> and save the page as you
normally would.
